NGO Writeup

A ruling system and structure in the form of government has been installed and conducted by leaders of the society. Its prime duty is to ensure equality, security, justice, peace and progress to all of its subjects. But the impact will be real and rewarding if there is a parallel response and responsibility evinced by vibrant citizens of the society representing the huge mass. This spirit of philanthropy in an organized form with group work, resource management and specified aim and area of service has contributed to the emergence and influential growth of non government sectors in all global corners.
They have three rudimentary responsibilities
a) Service – to extend proper gadgets for survival, self reliance and development to the needed sections.
b) Support – to serve as a bridge between government and public by creating awareness and beneficial compatibility to the needed about the schemes, subsidies, grants, aid and other provisions.
c) Surveillance – to keep an eye on the government and with integrity raise their demand, agony and objections which is the symptom for a healthy democracy.
There are innumerable NGOs - rich, commercial, defunct, fraudulent, partial and trivial in nature. There are hundreds of NGO federations with similar status, but it should also be noted that there are hundreds of committed organizations with unlimited zeal and limited resources tirelessly engaged in service with clean and successful records. In order to bring organizational relations, tie-up and collective functioning for common wellbeing, Sri Ramanuja Mission Trust of Chennai, which is relentlessly supporting struggling and upcoming genuine NGOs since its inception in the year 2000, has organized a confluence festival for NGOs where the following issues are to be highlighted in the discussions.
a. Project Selection and Survey
b. Volunteers Management
c. Fund Resources and Management
d. Joint and Group Ventures
e. Government, Foundations and International bodies
f. Organizational Ethics and Efficiency
g. Public reach and Patronage
h. Media relations
