Sri Ramanuja Mission Trust, popularly known as SRMT, was founded in the year 2000 for the noble cause of organizing and supporting projects for all round social welfare. It concentrates on various issues like poverty alleviation, self-employment, health awareness, and rural empowerment by organizing seminars, workshops, field studies and also by guiding, training volunteers and by providing financial assistance to NGOs. The trust anniversary is celebrated with considerable financial aid and honors to deserving and reputed individuals and institutions. It is also the prestigious member of WANGO (world association of NGOs).
We are conducting regular education scholarships and consultancy, medical aid and rural medical camps. Many workshops on personality development and empowerment like Career development, character moulding, memory booster, mind potential, emotional balance and stress management are effectively conducted on various parts of the country.
The vital objective of our trust is knowledge dissemination. It has organized and supported more than 200 conferences of national and International standards on various topics like Seed breeding, Agronomy, Plant Bio-technology, Energy solutions, Waste recycling, Environmental issues like climate change, Medical Ethics, Nano technology, Bio-ethics, Education research, Pedagogy, National Security, Inter-faith dialogue, Music, Economic crisis, Media ethics, Jurisprudence, consciousness studies etc.
The lectures and discussions are being brought out in the form of CDs and the transcriptions of the proceedings are being published in the form of printed and e-journals. The trust is managed by a team of committed personalities and guided by a panel of highly knowledgeable and dynamic dignitaries. The spirit behind
The prime mover of the trust is Prof. S.A.R.P.V. Chaturvedi. Extolled as an authority in Philosophy, ethics, logic and traditional sciences, he is also a renowned analyst and multi-linguistic orator in contemporary and emerging disciplines. Even though his academic qualifications are limited with philosophy, law, language and literature, computers and management studies, by the virtue of his meritorious erudition, he adorns several institutions as Professor emeritus, Eminence, Distinguished professor etc, in the faculties of medicine, artificial intelligence etc in his young age of 37.
His rational, modern and energetic approach for serious issues like rehabilitation, quality education, counter-terrorism, green planet, Pandemics, water treatment, soil erosion, flood control etc has gained wider appreciation and support for his mission.
The scenario
Charity settles the imbalances in the society. This innate instinct, flowing from the blessed and benevolent hearts, towards the down trodden, uproots the hurdles of social equality and development such as illiteracy, poverty and evils like discrimination etc.Organized charity is extended by NGOs by bestowing guidance and resource sharing.It is the prime need of the hour to establish integrity and active network among NGOs and to create public vigilance and active participation for a sustainable progress.
In spite of civilization and scientific advancement, the society is still inflicted by the perennial migraine of power abuse. Imbecile and helpless individuals, groups and even nations are targeted. But the recent decades saw the dawn by the emergence of special and severe enactments, commissions, International bodies and innumerable NGOs, due to which there is a visible thin trace of global awareness and security. Eminent Judiciaries and Jurists, advocates of the society and human rights activists are now incessantly working as relievers, reporters and watchdogs of human rights violation in any part of human inhabitation. But human rights education and resolution techniques have not properly reached the common society and time, influence and other factors hinder prompt and proper relief.
Media is a very powerful tool and sharp at both ends. Having virulent ability to bring awareness and transformation in the society, it is now possessed by forces like favouritism, vendetta and senseless sensational marketing. Developments in technical sophistication cannot substitute or save erosion of its ethical standards.
Considering these issues, which have been already discussed and debated plenty of times in all parts of the globe, our trust also has proposed the same topic for scrutiny and implementation with the noble idea of providing continuity, emphasis and customized solution design. The meeting will have total 6 speakers, 2 speakers each, for media, human rights and social service and Justice, apart from other guest dignitaries. The speakers may also present a paper in addition, for publication.
